Coffee, and my playlist
Today is a day for drinking coffee and listening to music.
I've been thinking a lot about someone I met a few years ago, and he's been inspiring love for music I haven't heard in a while.
1.Growing Flowers By Candlelight by Ainslie Henderson
2. That Sea, The Gambler by Gregory Alan Isakov
3. Till The Sun Turns Black by Ray Lamontagne
4. Strict Joy by The Swell Season
5. Keep It Together by Guster
6. O by Damien Rice
7. The Beatles : )
8. Uproot The Island by Pie Boys Flat (saw them play in NY. Awesome!)
9. We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. by Jason Mraz
10. Conundrum by TJ Moss Band (track 12 is my favorite)
track 12 is Lullaby. I always have to listen to it one more time.

Today I'm half crazy in love with a band called The Dodos. watching them play live is the most fun. look them up on youtube, you'll find some good stuff. I just got their new album Time To Die and I really like it. I must admit that I think I like their first two albums, Visiter and Beware Of The Maniacs a little more.
I just know when I listen to The Dodos, I always love what I'm hearing. they leave me with a warm and comforting feeling that there is good music out there. most that I still haven't found. two days ago I had no idea they existed! so sad.
a year ago I didn't know about Vampire Weekend either, but I cannot imagine my life without them. who else? what other great band do I not know of yet? sometimes the love for music takes me over.
it was Pandora that helped me find The Dodos by the way.

there are some poeple out there who make some dang fine music. lastfm, Pandora, and youtube have been feeding my frenzy. everytime I go online I know I'm going to find some awesome new music.
I have been under a crazy spell this past two weeks after my best friend told me about The Avett Brothers and Broken Bells. after this I came across the talent of Cass McCombs, Kings of Convenience, Florence and the Machine, and Civil Twilight.
I've also been listening to some old favorites. Beirut, Bon Iver, Ray LaMontagne, and Vampire Weekend. All of these artists are now in my collection, always to be heard and loved.
